Polina Moiseyevna Samoylova (Blitshteyn)
35+ years in medicine by now!
I am passionate about my patients and helping people.
I started as a nurse in Ukraine, worked in NICU, then in hand surgery (carpal tunnel syndrome and nerve injuries), and then at a substance abuse hospital. When I came to the US (my family came as refugees with the help of the Jewish community), I started as a CNA while studying English and for the nursing license exam. Then, I worked as a nurse in the ICU step-down/ cardiac unit at TMC. When I got accepted to the NP program at Northern Arizona University, I was offered a job at Barrows Neurological Institution in Phoenix and worked in the neuro ICU. Over there, I got experience in taking care of patients with strokes, myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, shunts, and neurology-related surgical patients (brain bleeds, craniotomy, tumors, AVM, etc.). In Ukraine, I received extensive training in natural healing and yoga teaching, and I apply all my knowledge to help my patients.

Carotid Ultrasound
Carotid ultrasound is a safe, painless procedure that uses sound waves to examine the blood flow through the carotid arteries.
NeuroTrax
NeuroTrax computerized tests assess brain wellness across an array of cognitive domains including memory, executive function, visual spatial perception, verbal function, attention, information processing speed, and motor skills.
